Scottish Running Week 2024

University of °ÄÃŲʿª½±ÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Sport is the headline partner of Scottish Running Week 2024

Taking place from 3-9 June 2024 and organised by Athletics Trust Scotland, Scottish Running Week, previously known as National Running Week, will celebrate athletics across the country in a bid to increase participation through a wide variety of activities.

Tales of the Track and Trails - Friday 31 May

Join us for an evening of inspiring "Tales of the Track and Trails" from an all-female panel to launch Scottish Running Week.

The hybrid event – which can be attended online or in person – will be hosted at Peffermill Playing Fields from 7pm on 31 May 2024

A star studded line-up

The panel will feature Scotland’s most-decorated runner and Patron for Athletics Trust Scotland, Eilidh Doyle, the first woman to successfully complete the Barkley Marathons, Jasmin Paris, Aberdeen wheelchair racing star Joanna Robertson and European U23 10,000m champion Alice Goodall.

Paris made history in March, becoming the first woman to complete the Barkley Marathons in its 39-year history, finishing 99 seconds inside the 60-hour time limit – a feat achieved by only 20 runners.

Renowned broadcaster and former Scottish international athlete Rhona McLeod will mediate the panel, with ATS hoping that everyday runners throughout Scotland will benefit from inspiring and relatable stories to fuel their own journeys.

Tickets will be available to attend the panel live for a £10 donation and online for £5, with all proceeds going towards Athletics Trust Scotland’s Transforming Lives grants, which support disadvantaged communities through our sport, whilst stimulating new interest in running and athletics.
